George W. Ross, J.D., E.A. is the CEO and founder of Tax Office & Associates™, bringing more than twenty years of tax, legal, real estate, and retail management experience. George has dedicated his career to helping others and his community.

George W. Ross, J.D., E.A. is the CEO and founder of Tax Office & Associates™, bringing more than twenty years of tax, legal, real estate, and retail management experience. George has dedicated his career to helping others and his community.

George is a bilingual tax specialist. He is a licensed Enrolled Agent with unlimited jurisdiction to practice before the IRS. He is a licensed real estate broker in California and Massachusetts. He is also a commissioned California Notary Public*. George holds a BA in English Literature from Sonoma State University and a Juris Doctorate from Empire College School of Law.

George was the founding owner and CEO of GWR Broker Services, a loss mitigation firm dedicated to mortgage loan modifications for distressed homeowners. Previously, George had managed the foreclosure department at Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa. Under his leadership at Catholic Charities, his department filed 25% of all approved HAMP mortgage loan modifications nationwide in 2010.

Prior to Catholic Charities, George clerked at the Sonoma County District Attorneys Office. George made over 300 court appearances on behalf of the People of California and the City of Santa Rosa. George later worked in bankruptcy where he gained a reputation for excellence in Sonoma County as a bankruptcy law clerk.  George later was on the trial team at Brayton Purcell, LLP, a nationally recognized personal injury law firm specializing in asbestos related injuries. Thereafter, George was a DOJ Accredited Representative authorized to practice before the USCIS Immigration Court. George zealously represented immigrant clients before the USCIS and encouraged newly arrived documented and undocumented immigrants to assimilate into the United State and its host culture.

Prior to his legal career, George was a department manager at Guitar Center, a nationwide music retailer. George was the percussion department manager at the San Francisco and El Cerrito stores in Northern California. Under his management, he consistently led both departments into the top ten for national sales and the top three for regional sales.
